Mouton Rothschild Vintage 2006 BUY Recommendation
Dear Friends and Clients,
I have some brilliant news for you, we have managed to secure a fantastic parcel of fine wine. It’s a really good offer and I haven’t got many cases of this unfortunately so it is first come first served.
Now we started trading only a couple of hours ago with 75 Cases of Chateaux Mouton Rothschild.
I think you know this wine well, since we have made some very good returns on it in the past. Just a quick description, Mouton Rothschild is a famous Chateau, they have 82 hectares of vines in Bordeaux. Mouton Rothschild is neighbor with two other top first growths.
The year of this Chateau Mouton is 2006 – they are in their original wooden cases stored in bond – Ready to go in your name.
Its just coming ripe for drinking over the next 2-3 years and the way the market is going at the moment, this has some huge potential for good gains over the next year as restaurants and hotels buy it in to fill their cellars.
There are two factors that can give this wine a rise in price. Firstly, the market is on the rise, investors are coming out of the global markets as the economy slows down will move funds into commodities like gold or wine. They are already doing this because we can see activity and prices on the rise.
The second is that it’s lagging way behind Lafite and a lot of people, especially the Europeans, are arguing why should they pay these prices for Lafite when they can buy Mouton, which is so much cheaper. For a case of Lafite 2005, you need to pay 6200 pounds and it has 95 points from Parker.
One of the main reasons I am recommending this to you is because Robert Parker originally rated this wine with 98 points, then he rated it with 96 points in the beginning of 2015, now you might be thinking the price will go down, yes it did drop but when you read Robert Parker’s tasting notes, he said that this is a sleeper vintage, he didn’t give any bad comments about it, in fact everything he said was extremely positive in his notes.
What you have properly guessed is that, he meant that the wine is closed right now, and most times very good vintages take a few years to mature and open up. So his rating lower was only for the time while the wine is still closed. When he tastes this wine over the next few years as it opens up, I’m pretty sure that he will rate it much higher. The price will sky rocket. The same thing happened with Mouton 2005 and it shot up 17%.
This Mouton 06 I am recommending to you has already dropped in price after his re-score, so it’s an ideal time to buy. 96 points is still an excellent rating, so its got a very strong chance of rising this year with the growth of the market.
In 2011, this Mouton 2006 was traded heavily for 6000 pounds/case. I have managed to pick up this recommendation for you at 3300 pounds/case.
As you know I haven’t recommended many 2006 vintages to you because they were so expensive back in 2011 mainly because it’s a big year, but they were always on the high side. Since the prices have dropped, it has come to a level where I see this as a big opportunity to scoop up a blockbuster vintage for half the price. And now the wine is 5 years older, making it more rare!!
Now we can see the market is rising, it’s a fantastic opportunity to grab these blockbusters while they are priced so low.
I’m pretty sure we will see the wine market much higher a year from now, but right now, it’s the time to get involved as much as you can. To me, the people selling wine at the moment are those that have lost money in the stock market lately.
Did you know that 15 trillion dollars has been wiped off the global stock markets since the beginning of the new year?
I don’t have many cases of this on hand, I can only offer you up to a maximum of 3 cases.
Short term gain on this I anticipate around 15-20% in the next 12 months. Over the long term, this could be a big return if you hold onto it for three years or more. I can easily see this wine doing over 100% if you keep it for a five or six years.
Tell me what are your thoughts?
I can offer maximum 3 cases, so please let me know how many cases you would like to add to your portfolio.
