Terms of Service

By using the Invest Into Wine platform, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

Account Registration

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

Investment Risks

Fine wine investments carry inherent market risks. Past performance does not guarantee future results. We recommend consulting a financial advisor before making investment decisions.

Platform Usage

You agree to use the platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate our policies.

Storage

  1. Wine purchased for investment is held in bond in our nominated bonded warehouses. Title passes to you on payment, and the wine remains in storage until you sell it, collect it, or instruct a transfer or delivery.
  2. A minimum storage term of 12 months applies from the date of purchase. Storage and insurance for that term are payable at the time of purchase and are shown separately at checkout.
  3. The prepaid 12-month term is non-refundable. If you sell or collect your wine before the term ends, the prepaid storage for the unexpired part is not refunded.
  4. Where you no longer hold wine in storage, any unused prepaid storage balance is forfeited 30 days after your last holding leaves storage. If the prepaid term ends unused, the balance is forfeited at that point.
  5. After the initial 12-month term, storage is billed half-yearly for the periods 1 January–30 June and 1 July–31 December, at 0.75% of the wine's market value per half-year. A minimum charge of £25 per half-year applies. Storage invoices are payable within 30 days.
  6. Storage is billed in pounds sterling (GBP) for wine held in UK bond, and in euros (EUR) for wine held in Provenance in Bond.
  7. Insurance of your wine while in storage is included in the storage charge.

Removal and transfer from storage

  1. Where wine has been held in our storage service and you ask us to release it — whether you collect it yourself, send a nominated agent, or transfer it to another broker or merchant — a handling charge of 5% of the wine's current value applies. The current value is our published selling price for that wine as shown on this website at the time of your request.
  2. The handling charge covers the work involved in releasing the wine from storage and handing it over correctly, including liaising with a receiving broker, collector or agent.
  3. No handling charge applies where you purchase wine and collect it at the time of purchase.

Delivery and collection

  1. All wine is sold in bond. Prices exclude UK duty and VAT. Duty and VAT become payable only if the wine is removed from bond, and are your responsibility.
  2. Collection at the time of purchase is free of charge, by prior appointment. Collection after a period in storage is subject to the handling charge in the section above.
  3. UK delivery is £45.00 per case of 12 bottles (or part thereof).
  4. We do not deliver outside the United Kingdom. If you are outside the UK you must collect the wine in person or nominate a UK agent to collect it on your behalf.

Limitation of Liability

Invest Into Wine shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.
